Our prestigious financial services client has a requirement for a Test Manager to join their high performing team.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Manage the UAT for the programme and all necessary communication and interaction for this.
* Build and maintain a detailed test plan.
* Assist the execution of testing by ensuring plans, documentation and processes are clearly understood and accepted.
* Provide regular updates on the status of testing.
* Provide regular Status reporting pack and present to Steering Committee.
* Manage the test deadlines and ensure users and project team members deliver tasks on time.
* Highlight issues and risks to the Project Manager in a timely fashion.
* Help the users to understand and sign off test plans and write test scripts.
* Use previous experiences to bring about process improvement within the testing process.
* Creating UAT test plans where not in existence.
* Setting up and maintaining a defects management process.
Essential Skills:
* Knowledge of Derivative products and derivative IT systems (especially Sophis and Summit).
* Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes.
* Proven experience of testing within complex environments and projects.
* Understanding of both manual and automated testing.
* Understanding of risk based testing approaches and theory.
* Prior experience of a product control function in an investment bank.
* Prior experience of working with colleagues globally across different time zones.
* Good people skills – ability to work with users and interested persons and encourage active participation.
* Excellent communication skills are mandatory.
