Our client is a well known bank based in Edinburgh city centre with a requirement for a qualified accountant to join the team as a Planning Accountant.
The Planning and Capital team is part of the wider Finance Planning, Operations, Systems and Projects team, a key part of the wider BU Finance Team. This vacancy is within the Planning and Capital team which is responsible for working with the business to understand and help shape business strategy and then translate this strategy into a planning model.
The team also co-ordinate the BU's Planning process & capital analysis. The team offers an open, supportive and coaching environment.
Main duties include:
- Playing a key role in the planning and capital reporting process for the BU
- Co-ordinating this process across the Real Estate Finance team
- Ensuring completion of deliverables to the Wholesale Planning team
- Preparing planning and strategy presentations for the Head of Finance and senior management
- Liaising with key stakeholders (e.g. Divisional teams, Business Partners) to develop strong working relationships
In addition, there will be the opportunity to contribute to other projects within the team, based on the successful applicant's experience and interests.
